Our Mission:

To our students and friends:

Why are we producing these Dance Instructional DVD's?  What are our goals?

  • To create a dynamic company that fills peoples lives with joy.  (Done!)
  • Release a dance video series out all over the world to finance a Global Mission to help the sometimes forgotten Latino poor and parentless. (Release Imminent!)
  • To assist families providing grants to start small businesses in poor countries.  Just $50 of goods to sell could change a family's entire life.
  • Start a campaign to match older foster children with families since they are hardly ever adopted.
  • To provide supplies and money for the Orphans with Aids in Mexico. (The DWG Benefit is for these children)
  • To Tithe of course.
  • To pay off our bills and hire my husband fulltime to work for Dancing With Grace Productions, Inc.
  • To help our family.
  • And if there is any $ left over buy a house on the beach, because "God Doesn't Make Anymore Beach Front Property!"
  • Retire and help others for the rest of our lives.

Why does your support matter?

The more videos we sell, the more $ we can donate to our cause.  We thank you for your support and are very excited to have a goal in life that will make a difference even when we are gone.....

Sincerely,

Grace and Hugo Badillo

Update on Grace's Health:

Recently Grace had been diagnosed with acute labrynthitis which severely attacked her balance and coordination.  She has recovered slowly and will be back teaching by April 1, 2006.  Due to her labrynthitis possibly coming back from time to time (which is usual with this problem) she may not be able to do her grand finale with Jonathan GQ Bowers at the Video Release event but will be practicing just in case she is able to.  Thanks for all the emails and support you have given her and Hugo during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Grace and Hugo

Student Emails

Dear Grace,

I am composing this e-mail to show my appreciation to you and all of the instructors of the salsa class on Tuesday night.

I have never attempted to take any dance classes before, but I am glad that the first dance class experience was with Dancing with Grace.  Ever since my first class it has felt like home.  Every instructor truly shows that they love to dance, plus they teach others to love salsa dance.

During the classes every week, the students like myself enjoy every minute we spend there.  That feeling comes because of we are learning how to dance, technique and all.

I just wanted to say thank you for everything and keep up the great work, we do appreciate the service that you and your instructors provide every class.

Thankfully yours,

William Tilghman

We get emails from our students all the time.  Send us your thoughts and possibly  have your email posted!  We care about what you think! Email us

Shoe Repair

I get lots of questions about where to get dance shoes repaired.  I go to Boris at Security Square Shoe Repair.  He can put a new suede on the bottoms of your shoes and fix any problem you seem to have including cutting a heel down a bit.  I would ask for Boris and tell them that Grace sent you to get a small discount.  It should cost $20 for new suede (ladies) and up to $35 for guys. It costs $6.50-15.00 for a new heel if its worn down.  Shoe Tip: Anyone who tries to charge you over $35 to get new suede on the bottoms of your shoes is ripping you off.  You can also buy the suede from Cindy at the Promenade and take it to Boris for him to put it on, which should be cheaper.  The suede costs $10 from Cindy.

Featured Students:

Grace & Hugo are looking for two student volunteers to do the 7:30 pm  demonstration at Gardels in the month of April or May.

What does this entail?  You and your partner would come prepared to dance a 3 minute demonstration dance of basic to intermediate salsa material.  We would introduce you and you would dance and get 2 free drinks on us!  The crowds are usually very small (from 6-12 people eating) so its a great way to start performing.  If you are interested in taking your dancing to a new level by introducing yourself to demonstration dances, email grace at grace@dancingwithgrace.com

Dance Shoes Available Online

We are proud to offer quality dance shoes from the Elegance Shoe Company and Moon Light Dance Shoes. Check out our dance shoes at the DWG Store by clicking here.

Salsa Music CD of the Month

Ray Barreto
50th Anniversary CD

Here is an outstanding album by the Latin percussionist Ray Barretto. It is a live performance with Ray Barretto together with his original singers. Most of the songs on this cd are classic Barretto cuts from the 70's with the excitement that only a live concert can produce.

Ray Barreto died on February 17, 2006 at the age of 76. The Latin jazz percussionist was known for his fearless experimentation with Latin, jazz and rythm and blues, and for helping popularize Salsa music.

For more great salsa music CDs check our Salsa Music CDs web page.
