" With Firm Reliance on the Protection of Divine Providence "

Message to Our Students

Dear All,

We love Tampa! We love our new home. We love our new students and we feel that it is a privilege to be able to begin again here and meet the wonderful new people God is placing in our lives. Thank you to whoever is reading this!

I have just arrived back from Washington, DC where I received the Women of Salsa Award; I am very honored and HUMBLED and thank everyone who has contributed to my dance career, including my husband and mother! I love you!

We are excited to be offering our incredible workshop for ladies this October. I have been asked for this from some of you so I tried to design what I felt people needed. Thank you for your support during this tough economic time; if you cant afford lessons but want some, please email Grace at grace@dancingwithgrace.com Maybe you can help DWG in some other capacity and we can trade your talent for ours! Just because you don't have $ doesnt mean you are not valuable!

Please check out the newsletter and read about all the great things we are doing in town. We are gearing up for some non-profit events and hope to see you soon!

God Bless You All!

Sincerely,

Grace and Hugo Badillo

Grace’s Salsa Tips

Grace's Salsa Tips

Tip #1: Stop Hating: A lot of you have experienced bad things in the dance world. Whether its hurt feelings, arguments, or love loss stop hating. Dont allow anything that has happened to you make you feel hate for someone. This just festers inside you. Forgive them even if they never asked for it and you will feel a wonderful peace. If its your old dance school you hate, never say negative things about them. If you have constructive criticism, give it to the teachers themselves. How can anyone grow if they dont know what they are doing wrong? How can you grow if you are in a state of hatred?

Tip #2: Dancing with experienced dancers is sometimes scary. I had a student tell me recently that they freaked out when they danced with my husband. He is just another person, trying to have a good time dancing. He may know more than you but someone out there knows more than he does too! When you feel anxiety about dancing with someone, let them know immediately to take it easy on you before you begin and HOPEFULLY they wont throw the "kitchen sink at you" and you will dance wonderfully. Making mistakes is normal when you dance, even for professinals. Its okay not to be perfect, we promise!

Dance News: Grace Wins The Women of Salsa Award in Washington DC

Grace was given the Women of Salsa Award on August 4, 2010 in Washington, DC by the Famous Eileen Torres, Salsa Historian & Speaker.

What is The Tribute To Women of Salsa Event?

The Eighth Annual Tribute to Women in Salsa takes place yearly at Zanzibar on the Waterfront, 700 Water St SW, Washington, DC. On our cruises you enjoy their regular schedule but also have a dance schedule of workshops and exercise that you can do each day! We also sit together in surrounding tables at dinner and get to have fun in a different setting. This is unlike regular salsa cruises that are more for salsa CLIQUES than salsa social dancers. This is for mature adults with morals, values and principles! We don't do stripper parties or promote dance in a negative way. If you would like references of the good times our other students have had just let me know! We even have students coming from Baltimore to be with us again! Ages ranging from 25-65! Tall, Skinny, Short or Fat...this is where the party is at! Come one and come all to the best cruise around! Call Grace for more information at 410-903-0648!

Our lessons are designed to challenge beginners to realize their talent and possibly stay on to try the more difficult techniques in the second hour.

  • 8:30-9:30 pm: These lessons are not pattern classes. They focus on specific techniques to become a great salsa dancer. Focus and repetition is key.

 5. Is Dancing A Sin?

Have you ever wondered if dance is a sin? Many of us have been taught about God (the creator of Heaven & Earth). What does He say about Dance? To read Grace's article, "Is Dancing A Sin" click here:

Grace would love to know your opinion. Email her at grace@dancingwithgrace.com

Check out the last email I received about this article:

Dear Grace,

My name is J and I have really been struggling with this issue of dance as a sin lately. I absolutely LOVE to dance and find it as a great joy. However at social dances people have made it so sinful and i know it is sinful. I was really frustrated with the fact that if dancing was a sin i would be missing out on something i really love. So then i did what any typical teenager would do and i used google, i googled "dancing at parties is a sin" and your page came up. I LOVED the fact that you backed up everything with the Bible because I really enjoy reading the Bible and to know that everything is truth really helps me to relate. So anyways I just really want to thank you because you have helped me so much and God's light has shown through you! I can dance and glorify God and it is not a sin, unless I lustfully make it one. Having respect for myself will pay off in the long run and others will respect me! THANK YOU SO MUCH, you have truly inspired me

Through Christ,
J

Hi Grace-

I loved your article on dancing.   I grew up being told it was a sin…so I was prohibited from dancing.   So guess what I wanted to do most of my life?  Yep!

BTW…Is there a sinful form of dancing?…of course.   And there is a sinful form of eating, driving cars, watching TV, recreating etc.

I loved your take on the issue.   Thanks for sharing what you’ve learned and experienced.

As a Baptist Minister, and Christian radio Talk show host I now enjoy dancing with my wife…and I DON’T CARE anymore what the legalists say.

Neil
PS  I’m not much of a dancer…but it’s fun, and I hate the fact that the enemy tried to steal it from God’s people.  Well, I am committed to taking it back!

 7.  Testimonials of Dancing With Grace Instruction:

Hi Grace,

How are you? I loved, loved attending the class. I was a little nervous and wasn’t sure if A. enjoyed himself ( he looked so serious) but he told me he really had fun and he wants to keep going. I am excited too. I was a little shocked at my reflection on the mirrors but I guess that’s what I get for avoiding full length mirrors for so long. You are an AMAZING dancer and teacher. Robert is incredible and although I wanted to do better than I did I know with time I will get there. I am telling all my friends about you and we will see you on Tuesday. J

Sincerely,
V

I almost gave up on Salsa until I found you online. You are the most professional people I have ever met. Thanks for moving to Tampa.

J
