"To Love is a choice not a feeling!"

Our Mission:

To our students and friends:

Why are we producing these Dance Instructional DVD's?  What are our goals?

  • To create a dynamic company that fills peoples lives with joy.  (Done!)
  • Release a dance video series out all over the world to finance a Global Mission through The Angel Network to help the sometimes forgotten Latino poor and parentless. (Release Imminent!)
  • To assist families providing grants to start small businesses in poor countries.  Just $50 of goods to sell could change a family's entire life.
  • Start a campaign to match older foster children with families since they are hardly ever adopted.
  • To Tithe of course.
  • To pay off our bills and hire my husband fulltime to work for Dancing With Grace Productions, Inc.
  • To One Day Thank Oprah personally for being such an inspiration to me and thank her for using her blessings to help so many people in this world.
  • To help our family.
  • And if there is any $ left over buy a house on the beach, because As Oprah put it, God Doesnt Make Anymore Beach Front Property!
  • Retire and help others for the rest of our lives.

Why does your support matter?

The more videos we sell, the more $ we can donate to our cause.  We thank you for your support and are very excited to have a goal in life that will make a difference even when we are gone.....

Sincerely,

Grace and Hugo Badillo

Shoe Repair

I get lots of questions about where to get dance shoes repaired.  I go to Boris at Security Square Shoe Repair.  He can put a new suede on the bottoms of your shoes and fix any problem you seem to have including cutting a heel down a bit.  I would ask for Boris and tell them that Grace sent you to get a small discount.  It should cost $20 for new suede (ladies) and up to $35 for guys. It costs $6.50-15.00 for a new heel if its worn down.  Shoe Tip: Anyone who tries to charge you over $35 to get new suede on the bottoms of your shoes is ripping you off.  You can also buy the suede from Cindy at the Promenade and take it to Boris for him to put it on, which should be cheaper.  The suede costs $10 from Cindy.

Featured Dance Classes:

Salsa Rueda Classes with Barbara Bernstein on Sundays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Avalon Studio in Catonsville, Maryland.

This drop-in class costs $10. It is lively, fun, and no partner is needed. If there is a wide array of levels in a class, we generally break into groups with multiple teachers so everyone can work at the appropriate level. Classes begin with basics and move up to more advanced levels. The atmosphere friendly and welcoming to newcomers. Check out the "Classes" page of DanceInTime.com to verify the schedule and get further details or call Barb: 301-9806043.

To get to the Avalon Studio (15 Mellor Ave.; Catonsville, MD) get onto the Baltimore beltway and take exit 13, Frederick Rd., west towards Catonsville. Turn left onto Mellor Ave. at third light. Then turn left into 2nd parking lot entrance.

1. DWG LOGO DESIGN WINNERS; New Logo to be Revealed at DWG Party!

To all of the contestants that entered our logo design contest we would like to say WOW! You are all very talented.  It was tough to narrow it down, but we tried to remain true to an elegant but cool salsa logo.  To see the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners click here. As we are working with a company to help us with our logo idea, we have decided to combine two of the winning logos.

The new DWG logo will be revealed at the DWG Video Release Party on April 28, 2006 which will be held on the main floor at Gardels at 9 p.m. Be on the look out for more information on this event in the upcoming March 2006 DWG Newsletter.

2.  La Palapa Classes Canceled; New Sessions Begin in May!

Since DWG is working so hard on training and planning the event of the year on April 28th we are taking a small hiatus from classes at La Palapa.  A new 6-week dance session will begin in May 4, 2006 from  8-9:30 p.m. with Antonio teaching the entire session.  You can sign up for the session by emailing his wife Elsy at elsybel@dancingwithgrace.com

This session will take you from being a beginner level student to an Intermediate I level student in just 6 weeks!  The session costs $65 for those who sign up in advance.  If you sign up on the first day of class its $75 and drop in classes are available at $15 each.  No refunds for classes not taken.

For Your Information: The reason drop in classes are expensive is because when people drop in the series class slows down so I want them to pay more since we will have to have someone else take them to the side to catch them up to the class.

5.  Ballet Classes By Nonci Tirado at the Promenade

Interested in better turn outs, better flexibility, & graceful movement? Nonci Tirado will be teaching an adult ballet class and is starting a sign up sheet.  This will be a basic class and is possibly going to be on Monday evenings in the future.  She is starting a sign up sheet for the class.  If you are interested please sign up.  I know I will (Grace).  Any of my instructors who take this will get extra credit for training time. Please email her at arielnonci@hotmail.com

6.  Performance Class Interest Meeting: Mark your Calendars.

Are you interested in taking your dancing to a new level? We are now signing people up for a performance class session.

We will be having an information meeting about this type of class on March 18, 2006 at 12 noon at the Promenade Dance Sport Facility.  During this meeting we will talk about what we will be learning throughout the class and what will be expected of you.  If there aren't enough people we will push the performance class date but as long as I have 4 people we can proceed.  (Note:  We will also be having a ladies styling workshop from 2-4 this same day at this same location so if you need to advance your styling and want to be in the performance group this is a great day to build your knowledge).

During this performace session a group of students will learn a choreography that they will perform at the end of the session at a non-threatening location to start. Depending on how well the class does together, you may or may not be chosen to perform at some of the upcoming parties to be held by DWG. The class is responsible for training on a specific class evening and then getting together at least once a week without me to practice what you have learned in class. If you are interested please sign up. This is a 6 week session that costs $300.00 to non-DWG employees.  This class can also be taken by DWG instructors who are not yet in the performance arena for $150.00 and is worth 50 training hours. If you aren't ready to dedicate time and serious effort please do not take this session. You must be an Intermediate II-III to Advanced Dancer (capable of many intricate patterns and at least attempting double turns and footwork). You may have the opportunity to be hired by DWG as a performer if you do well enough. To sign up for this class email Grace's Assistant Elsybel.
