Check it out! The DWG team is going on a field trip and we want you to go with us. Yes, we really do love to hang out with you at The Promenade, JHU, and Kasbah, but some of you have asked for more!!!
We're looking for the ambitious and adventurous dancers to travel with us to Philadelphia, DC, Virginia, Atlantic City, and New York. Depending on the destination, we may end up at the casino, a Broadway musical, a concert, the hottest night clubs or even the beach. Who knows! Since we do not wish to fill up your inboxes with unwanted messages, the only way to receive Field Trip updates is to sign up here.

Fall 2009 - Dominican Replublic Trip
We are currently planning to go to Dominican Republic on Fall of 2009 for a week. We will be to helping at least one orphanage and also enjoying ourselves in an all inclusive hotel.
August 15 - 17th - DC Salsa Congress 2008
Meet us at the DC Salsa Congress 2008. We will have a vendor booth! For details go to http://www.capitalcongress.com.
July 3-6 - Philadelphia Salsa Congress
For information about the Philadelphia Salsa Congresst go to www.philasalsacongress.com. Hugo and Grace will be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Philadelphia Center City located in 1100 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19107 (Map). The event is at the Convention Center right down the street.
We will be meeting anyone comping with us at 9:45 am at the Promenade, leaving promptly at 10 am to arrive by noon to set up our vending booth. Activities start in the evening at 7 pm. We hope to have a group of 10 students to come with us. Sue, (my executive assistant) is looking for a female roomate.
Wednesday, April 2, 2008 - Annual Tribute to Women in Salsa
Meet Grace & Hang out with her at the 2nd Annual Tribute to Women In Salsa on April 2th at Zanzibar. This event features 7 dance numbers. Clavekazi Students, Dance in Time, Joi de Vivre Salsera, Salsa Fuego, Salsa Fuego Students, and Salsa Vive perform and then collaborate on a finale featuring all groups. DJs Nancy Alonso and DJ Cookie from Philadelphia will entertain.
Sunday, February 10, 2008 - Winter Salsa Fest and Mambo Festival
The DWG team and friends spent an exciting day dancing and mingling at CocoCabana's in Hyattsville, Maryland. This event had something for everyone. For $30 (only $20 in advance), attendees participated in discussions with the DJ's, took dance workshops, studied the roots of Salsa, and then enjoyed dinner followed by open dancing! We give kudos to the DC Salsa Network for all of their hard work planning and orchestrating this event. If you missed it, no worries, it will be an annual event.
Thursday, January 31, 2008 - Salsa Dancing at Red Maple
The DWG team sponsored a charity event with free salsa lessons at Red Maple for one of our DWG students who recently faced unemployment less than 2 years away from retirement. ALL cover charges and a percentage of the bar tab went directly to this student. She was so humbled and appreciative. We all know how those monthly bills really add up!
Thanks to all of the local and long distance instructors, promoters, meetup groups, and dancers who came out to show their support. A special thanks to Leonard Clark at the Red Maple for his generosity!
